Philip F. Pelletier
Director of Special Events


Philip joined the Preservation Society in 1978 as Director of Special Events. In this role, he initiated, developed and expanded the Special Events Department to showcase the Society’s museums as they were in the Gilded Age.  Philip has an extensive background in music, wines, specialty foods, event management and event design.  He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music from the University of Rhode Island, a Master’s degree in Education from Rhode Island College, and a Master of Arts degree from Salve Regina University.  Philip is responsible for all private-client events, fundraising events, and commercial filming at the Preservation Society’s museum properties, as well as all of the Society’s own special events.  These include the Newport Flower Show and Newport Mansions Wine and Food Festival, annual dinner galas, and the William K. Vanderbilt, Jr. Concours d'Elegance.

NEWPORT MANSIONS is a registered trademark of The Preservation Society of Newport County. Our tickets should not be presented at any other mansion in Newport except The Breakers, Chateau-sur-Mer, Chepstow, The Elms, Green Animals Topiary Garden, Hunter House, Isaac Bell House, Kingscote, Marble House, and Rosecliff.
