Lunch at The Elms Carriage House Cafe 

A delicious and nutritious assortment of snacks, beverages, fresh salads and sandwiches is available seasonally at The Elms Carriage House Cafe.  Located on the terrace of the historic carriage house at The Elms, the Cafe offers umbrella-shaded bistro tables, overlooking the grand allee, fountains and sunken garden.

In 2009, the Carriage House Cafe will be open to Preservation Society members and Newport Mansions ticket holders daily from May 16 to October 12, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.



Private Tours

For the most intimate experience, choose a private tour for your party through one or more houses of your choosing.  Private tour fees start at $220, and include membership.  To arrange a private tour, call (401) 847-1000, ext 105.


Rooftop and Behind-the-Scenes at The Elms

See and hear how the other half lived as you tour the "back stairs" and rooftop of this Gilded Age mansion.  Walk through the kitchens, coal cellar and boiler room, laundry rooms and wine cellar, then up the stairs to the third-floor staff quarters.  Weather permitting, your tour will take you out onto the roof, for a spectacular view of the ten-acre estate and Newport harbor beyond.
