Terry Dickinson

Special Assistant to the CEO


Terry joined the staff of the Preservation Society in 1994 as a seasonal tour guide, followed by full time positions as Director of Visitor Services and Special Assistant to the CEO.

Born in Prenter, West Virginia, Terry spent his formative years growing up in Titusville, Florida. He entered the United States Navy in 1973, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Commander in 1994.

Terry serves as Chairman of the Historic House Museum Professional Interest Committee of the American Association of Museums (AAM), and Rhode Island Team Captain for the American Association of State and Local History (AASLH). He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Arts & Cultural Alliance of Newport County.
