Founded in 1639, Newport was an important port city, a center of the slave trade, a fashionable resort and the summer home of the Gilded Age rich.

We are grateful to offer a $15 discount on standard memberships for active, reserve, or retired military; current students, and Newport residents. All discounts require a valid proof of status and are in-person only. Not valid on Pineapple Memberships.

If you have a current membership card, you can proceed directly to the entrance of the house(s) that you wish to visit. If you do not have a current membership card, a cashier can assist you in locating your membership information and printing a temporary membership card for your short-term use. Please show your photo ID for verification.
All members will receive a card that is associated with their membership. Please allow for two to three weeks after purchasing your membership to receive your card in the mail.
Memberships are valid for one year after the date of purchase. We invite you to renew your membership annually and continue your support for the Preservation Society. An invitation to renew your membership will be sent in the month preceding your membership expiration. If you would like to receive a mailed renewal reminder, please email members@newportmansions.org.
